Public perception has to change if more youth should get involved in politics. Various skills can be taught to students to prepare them for statesmanship.

When the nominations by major political parties in the general elections to the 18th Lok Sabha in India were analyzed, it was found that those in the 25-35 age group constituted a minority ranging from 2-7% compared to those in the 55 and above age group.
