Entrance examinations in India often repeat the evaluations already done through board exams. Instead, these exams should focus on testing students' aptitude.

Schools around the world use Bloom's Taxonomy developed in 1956 by leading academician Benjamin Bloom. It was later revised in 2001 and renamed as Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The emphasis in schools was on the remembering or knowledge aspect of learning.
