A novel and powerful step has been taken by the General Education Department, Government of Kerala, in creating a gender-neutral mindset among children. They included an infographic image in the class 3 Malayalam medium textbook depicting a father grating coconut in the kitchen while the mother prepares other dishes, and in the English medium textbook showing the father cooking snacks for the daughter.
